

The Beachside Runningworks Festival (Path) is a running event held at the Port Kennedy Boat Launching Facility, offering scenic coastal routes with the ocean as your backdrop. It features multiple race options, including a marathon, half marathon, 10k, and a 2.5k kids run, making it suitable for all levels of runners.

IMPORTANT RACE NOTES
Kids 2.5km – the children will be running an out & back close to the start/finish area. We have marshals at the turn around on the course, adults are encouraged to run with their child.
Timing for 2.5km/10km/21km & Marathon is being delivered by Chris Lark from Runningworks.
The Marathon course is four laps of the full course. Before heading out on your second lap you will need to go over the timing mat.
The 21km course is two laps of the full course. Before heading out on your second lap you will need to go over the timing mat.
The 10km course is one lap of the full course.
The 2.5km course is one smaller out and back.
The courses will be marked with the turn around points, an aid station and car park marshals.
There will be toilets at the start/finish line. Please use the toilets provided and respect the land.
Keep left. There will be two-way traffic at some points therefore important to make room for oncoming runners and runners passing you from behind.
There is no mandatory equipment, however we recommend you carry 500ml water and your own nutrition. Carrying a phone is recommended in case of emergency. Please add our contact numbers however not compulsory.
We strive to be an environmentally friendly event and encourage you to bring your own cup. However, we will have a small supply available.
All Marathon and Half finishers will receive a medal.
PRESENTATIONS
Prizes for 1st 2nd 3rd Male and Female in all events.
Presentations will be held shortly after all place-getters for an event have finished.
CUT OFF
There is a 6-hour cut off time for all events.
IF YOU NEED TO PULL OUT OF THE RACE DUE TO INJURY. Don’t panic, if you can, make your way to the nearest Aid Station or car park marshall.
If you are unable to move, call the Event Director for help or have somebody call for you. A first-aider will be based at the start/finish area.
Please note there is no car access to the course (except for Ambulance if required). Cars can access the car parks along the course and the start/finish area only.
All DNF must be reported to an Aid Station Volunteer to ensure we are not looking for you at the end of the race.
AID STATIONS
Water will be available at all Aid Stations
Electrolytes – Bix Hydration will be available at aid stations for 10km / 21km/ Marathon runners
PHOTOS
We will have a photographer out on course, so get that smile ready! Photos will be loaded up on Facebook. If you do not want your photos on Facebook please let us know.
DROP BAGS
For Marathon and 21km runners only – a drop bag can be left at the start/finish turnaround point. Whilst there are plenty of volunteers around, we urge you do not leave valuables in your bags and Runningworks do not take any responsibility for any items that go missing.
LITTERING
Whilst we will be providing disposable cups at aid stations, it is your responsibility to put the empty cups in the bins/bags provided. Anybody caught throwing empty cups, gel packets or any other rubbish onto the ground will result in disqualification. We take this very seriously – only leave footsteps.
PARKING
There is parking at the Port Kennedy boat ramp. Runningworks do not take any responsibility for cars parked at the boat ramp.
The Port Kennedy boat ramp is the location of the start/Finish line.

Course information:
- There are several distance options:
- 3km Kids Blowout
- 8km Revelry (3 laps)
- 25km Twilight (9 laps)
- 50km Wing-ding (17 laps)
- Mega Multi-Stage Rager (50km)
- The course:
- is a GPS measured trail race on a ~3k limestone loop.
- consists of mostly compact limestone, with ~200m of soft sand on each loop.
- has some minor undulations, with a short climb into the start/finish point.

Race schedule:
- The Multi-Stage commence at 2.00pm
- The 50km starts at 3.00pm
- The kids 3k race starts at 4.00pm.
- The 25k starts at 5.00pm
- The 8k starts at 7.00pm
Cutoff:
- All events end at 10.00pm.

Further information:
- All Ultra & 25k runners will receive a finishers medal. Any Ultra runner who doesn’t complete the event within the cut of time will receive a 25k medal.
- Headlamps are optional but recommended.
- Runners can leave their own supplies at the start/finish line to resupply each loop; bananas, Coca-Cola, Hydrations drinks, water, and lollies will be provided at this point.
- There are toilets on site at the start/finish line.
